So things have been busy. I haven’t managed to go to the theatre or cinema in months and all the talk about EdFringe 2015 is killing me – hope y’all are having fun up there.

Since my last post, I have secured gainful employment in three different directions and it feels good to finally be batting again – a metaphor that could be well-placed or disastrous depending on how the Ashes turn out.

As always, whenever I have the time, I hope to be back here again. I stopped myself from writing more angry posts about crime, as well as the growing McCarthyisms in the papers over Calais. I stopped myself from writing about the woman in the JobCentre who was discriminated against because she was a devout Christian, despite how angry it made me (and to be clear – it would have made me angry whatever her religion). That was mainly because it would have come so hot on the heels on my last post and I was sick to the teeth of it all. I stopped myself from writing about overpopulation and homelessness and cynicism.

But all this is bubbling away and I will write. When I’m not writing something else.

When I write something here, I need to remember that I am presenting it to complete strangers and prospective acquaintances/friends/colleagues/employers… and that my name is tagged all over it. Perhaps a more Artful approach will be taken in the future. Perhaps not.
